Summary
The ride was relatively easy with paved roads and no mega altitude passes. We wanted to be off the route by noon because of the heat and we achieved that goal. The mid-afternoon temperatures were in the 90sF/30sC. We decided that it was too hot to finish the remaining 125 miles for us to complete the Great Divide Mountain Bike Route (GDMBR) in its entirety. So we planned on returning in October of 2016.
