We Visited the Local Area of Salta, Argentina
Above: We found a nice little restaurant two blocks from our hotel.
Above Left: Bike Friendly and a Plaza across the street.
Above Right: About 15 Pesos per 1 US Dollar.
Above Left: Our first Argentina meal.
Above Right: Our Tour Booking Agent, Anna (on the left, Terry on the right) dropped in to visit, she had no trouble finding us.
We had a pleasant conversation and we got a warning that car ownership is new to many Argentines and that in the city drivers of any car feel a superior right of way over pedestrians and cyclists.
Above Left: Our view of the Plaza across the street, we will visit.
Above Right: Coffee types for sale at our restaurant.
The Plaza and a Walk About
Above: This tree (in the Plaza) is not native to the area and comes from southern Argentina.
Above Left: A Lapacho Tree and Native Art.
Above Right: The Lapacho Tree blooms in the Spring (our Fall is their Spring, we're south of the equator). Lapacho Tree's color can be Yellow, Light Blue to Purple, and Light Pink to Red.
