A Walk About Downtown València, Spain; 13 May 2015
Above: Nice looking apartment buildings near where we stayed.
Above Left: Breakfast with Terry Struck in València, Spain.
Above Right: Bougainvillea.
Above Left: A line-up of the Palau de les Arts (nearest left), Hemisfèric, Museo Del València (more Child oriented than we expected), and the Agora (exposition center). Just out of site is the L'Oceanogràfic Center (Ocean World).
Above Right: Modern Apartment Buildings.
Above: It is called Palacio de las Artes Reina Sofía (Palau de les Arts), it is a modern and artistically designed display, show, music, and opera house which is still under construction (closed to the public).
Above: The Hemisfèric is in the nearest facility in both images. It houses a 3D Cinema with rotating Films about the Sciences. We saw a film about space exploration while wearing headphones that translated the film's narration into English.
Above Right: Museo Del València in the middle.
Above Left: València Map. We are in the You-are-Here Red-Circle in the bottom-right at the end of the Green Belt. The heart of València Old Town is the tan area in the center, and our Hotel is in the top-left corner of the main map.
Above Right: Clear Plastic Row Boats.
Above: Brave Man, it was really hot in there.
Above: Hemisfèric, Museo Del València, and the Agora .
Above: Museo Del València.
Above Left: Hemisfèric.
Above Right: Fish Tank in the Hemisfèric. We were there to watch a 3D movie. The movie was about Space Exploration and the Math and Science behind the inovations.
Above Left: DNA Spiral, we're really looking at the bikes further back to the right of the image.
Above Right: Bicycles.
Above Left: Penny Farthing or High Rider.
Above Right: Tandem.
Above Left: Social (side by side tandem) and Quad. It is difficult to keep the the two front steerable wheels aligned (parallel).
Above Right: Trike, the pedal layout was common for its time.
Above Left: Unicycle from the High Rider era.
Above Right: Recumbent (2015, with fold up/down handlebar).
Above Left: A view north-west from inside the Museo Del València.
Above Right: A view north-west from outside the Museo Del València.
Above Left: The Agora, it is an Exhibition center (not open today). Scale is deceiving, the floor area is larger than a Soccer Field.
Above Right: A guy waiting for ...
Above: L'Oceanogràfic Center.
A Walk About Old València
Above Right: Roman Bridge across the original Rio Túria. The Túria is famous for its floods so much that most of the river water is now diverted away (south) of the city and the old river bed has been converted into a popular green-way.
Ceramics Museum (Museo de Ceramica): The building is a Gothic style Palace from the of 15th century.
