Kennebunkport, Maine
Kennebunk and Area
Break Time
Above Left: We joined our companions in a roadside break. This is a rather typical breaktime setup with the support van and trailer. This break was set-up in the large Dunkin Donuts parking lot (with the permission of the Doughnut Shop) and we were allowed to use their facilities. See next image.
Above Right: Dunkin Donuts - Un-beknownst to us, Dunkin Donut stores in the Northeast are as commonly located as 7-11s in the rest of the USA and they are frequent meeting places for a variety of people and purposes.
Cape Neddick Area, Maine
Above Left: We stopped for a water break and looked up to see this Lesser Sandhill Crain wondering around someone's front yard.
Above Right: Fall foliage.

York Beach Area

We became soooo LOST!
(York Peninsula Area)
Above: We missed a turn and became very lost. We traveled until we (Terry) could ask for directions and get our bearings at a major road intersection, then we pulled off the road to report by a Cell Phone call to Judy. Judy was quite worried. Terry and Judy created a plan of action for us to intercept the course.
We were recipients of this season's first Acorn Bombing. While we were riding and when we were stopped, Acorns were falling out of the oak trees at random and we took a few hits. In this picture, notice the acorns on the ground and road. It doesn't hurt but it is a surprise and it was the first time that Dennis had experienced Acorn Bombing since being a kid.
