Above: Durban is famous for its beaches (no crocs) but on this day it was quite windy. We had pleasant lunch on the seaside and there was no shortage of vendors. We were there a little ahead of the summer season.

Overview: Mariannhill, established in 1882 by Abbot Francis Pfanner, has a complex Catholic organizational background. Our goal was to meet African orphans and maybe help out a little bit, something got lost in translation. We arrived when the school was on break and we learned the the school was a full fledged Catholic School for the Durban area with a mix of students. The Mother Superior showed us around and we made a donation, but...
